Deborah is highly respected in her craft within the Australian film and TV industry. She has 9 nominations and 2 wins at the Australian Screen Editors Awards, as well as 6 AACTA nominations, twice taking home the accolade for her work on THE CODE and MYSTERY ROAD.
A list of her credits, hugely abbreviated, include Eden, Bump, Lindy Chamberlain – The True Story, Lambs of God, Mystery Road, Upright, Peter Allen – Not the Boy Next Door, Gallipoli, The Code, Puberty Blues, Wake in Fright and multiple series of Underbelly.
But local and international recognition hasn’t gone to her head, as she instinctively makes every project feel like it’s her first. According to Deborah, "I think it’s really important to have diversity in your work. It challenges you, keeps you honest...It is always about diving into the minutia and nailing the immediacy, finding the truth and emotional heart of the story you are telling.”
